Kuah Kacang for Satay

SERVING: Sufficient for at least 10 pax
INGREDIENTS
Sufficient cooking oil
BAHAN KISAR:
4 to 5 tablespoons dried chilli paste (a handful of dried chillies)
2 big onions
2 inches ginger
SEASONINGS:
1 stick lemongrass
1 1/2 cup peanuts (roasted and skin peeled off, blend coarsely)
1/2 ketul Gula Melaka
Salt
3 cups water
1 box coconut milk (200 ml) *optional*
2 pieces asam keping
STEPS
- Heat up oil in the wok.
- Fry all the bahan kisar ingredients and lemongrass until pecah minyak.
- Add in peanut. Mix well.
- Add in water. Let it boil with small fire.
- When it has dried up a little, add in coconut milk, Gula Melaka, salt and asam keping.
- Cook until the sauce thickens.
- Done.
