 Kuah Kacang for Satay

SERVING: Sufficient for at least 10 pax 

INGREDIENTS 

Sufficient cooking oil 

BAHAN KISAR: 
4 to 5 tablespoons dried chilli paste (a handful of dried chillies) 
2 big onions 
2 inches ginger 

SEASONINGS: 

1 stick lemongrass
1 1/2 cup peanuts (roasted and skin peeled off, blend coarsely) 
1/2 ketul Gula Melaka 
Salt
3 cups water 
1 box coconut milk (200 ml) *optional* 
2 pieces asam keping 


STEPS
  1. Heat up oil in the wok. 
  2. Fry all the bahan kisar ingredients and lemongrass until pecah minyak. 
  3. Add in peanut. Mix well. 
  4. Add in water. Let it boil with small fire.
  5. When it has dried up a little, add in coconut milk, Gula Melaka, salt and asam keping. 
  6. Cook until the sauce thickens. 
  7. Done.
